Dr T. S. Panwar holds a PhD in Air Pollution Modelling from IIT, Delhi, and has worked as Director, Climate Change and Energy at WWF-India, and as Director, Energy Environment Policy at TERI, New Delhi. He was also an adjunct faculty and Head, Centre for Regulatory and Policy Research at TERI University.
His areas of interest include air quality, climate change, energy environment linkages, low-carbon development, sustainability aspects, and environmental management.
In his 35 years of work in the environmental domain, he has led numerous projects with various multilateral/bilateral agencies and the corporate sector, as well as with government departments and ministries. He has also been a part of various international projects with reputed organisations and institutes such as IIASA, Cambridge University, Yale University, Tsukuba University, Toyota R&D Labs, and UNEP.
At CSTEP, he is a member of the Technical Advisory Board.
