India Clean Air Summit 2025

As part of our shared commitment to the grand challenge of Clean Air for All, the Center for Study of Science, Technology and Policy (CSTEP) conducted the seventh edition of its flagship event—India Clean Air Summit (ICAS) 2025. With the theme ‘Towards Clean Air for All: Modelling the Solutions to Pollution’, ICAS 2025 was held on 20–22 August 2025.

This edition focussed on the critical role of air quality modelling and monitoring in enabling science-based, effective solutions to combat air pollution. The summit convened a diverse group of stakeholders, including representatives from government agencies, research institutions, think tanks, policy experts, citizen groups, implementation partners, and funding organisations. Through a dynamic programme of training sessions, research presentations, and expert-led discussions, ICAS 2025 delved into how air quality models and measurements can be tailored to the Indian context. The focus was on supporting evidence-driven policymaking, reducing harmful pollution exposure, improving public health outcomes, and enhancing quality of life across the country.

Following ICAS, CSTEP organised an (invitation-only) aerosol chemical speciation monitor (ACSM) users’ workshop on 23 August 2025 at its Bengaluru office. Read more about how real-time source apportionment can power NCAP in this blog.
