India is attempting to navigate a delicate balance – achieving our development goals sustainably without compromising on our climate targets. The Center for Study of Science, Technology and Policy (CSTEP) developed Sustainable Alternative Futures for India (SAFARI) to assess how demands arising from achieving sustainable development goals will impact our materials and resource demand. During this online event, we signed a virtual contract with Agence Française de Développement (AFD) to develop SAFARI into a decision-support system for policymakers that enables them to see the interlinkages across sectors and plan robust strategies to help India meet its development and climate goals.
