The Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment (DA&FE), Government of Odisha, in collaboration with the Gates Foundation; Center for the Study of Science, Technology and Policy (CSTEP); and Catalyst Management Services (CMS) launched a multi-stakeholder partnership to promote Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) and Climate-Resilient Agriculture (CRA) practices in the state. The objective of the CSA Alliance is to catalyse inclusive, coordinated, and evidence-based action focused on CSA/CRA by bringing together farmers, government, private sector players, financial institutions, civil society organisations, academia, and research organisations. The Alliance will focus on state-wide implementation of CSA/CRA practices through multi-stakeholder collaboration and consortium building approaches.
