Dr Vivek Kumar Singh is a Research Scientist in the Adaptation and Risk Analysis team of the Climate, Environment and Sustainability sector at CSTEP.
He completed his PhD in Sustainable Energy System from the Faculty of Economics /Faculty of Sciences and Technology, University of Coimbra, Portugal, with the framework of the MIT-Portugal programme (The Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA and Portugal). His hold a Master’s in Technology in Energy & Environmental Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology University, Tamil Nadu, and has completed his Bachelor of Science from Udai Pratap Autonomous College, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.
Prior to joining CSTEP, he worked with The Institute for Systems Engineering and Computers (INESC) in Coimbra. He has also worked with The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) and United Nations Development Program (UNDP), New Delhi.
His areas of interest include energy efficiency, IO analysis, integrated assessment and modelling, risk/data analytics, forecasting, simulations and business modelling, project evaluation and feasibility studies, energy policy, urban metabolism, smart cities, and climate change.
