The role will also involve contributing to the formulation of strategies and recommendations to help achieve India’s Just Transition goals while implementing energy transition policies.

The shortlisted candidate will lead analytical and policy-oriented research on energy transition, with a strong focus on justice and equity. This position requires strong technical, analytical, and policy skills, along with the ability to engage effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.


Responsibilities


  • Research and Analysis
  • Lead research on Just Transition pathways for renewable energy (RE) development across Indian states, with emphasis on social, economic, and environmental impacts on affected communities.
  • Assess technical, economic, and policy levers to drive fair and inclusive energy transitions, including workforce reskilling, community benefit-sharing, land-use planning, and equitable access to clean energy.
