Our work in sustainability focuses on developing the foundational knowledge and skills needed to transition to equitable and climate-resilient economies. By regularly publishing articles on complex concepts like Circular Economy, Bioeconomy, and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards, we aim to foster more awareness, which will ultimately translate into policy insights and practical solutions.
A key pillar of this effort is capacity building. This is exemplified by our workshop, ‘Navigating Sustainability with Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)’, conducted in partnership with the Bangalore Sustainability Forum. The workshop equipped mid-career researchers and practitioners with critical skills to quantify environmental impacts and make data-driven decisions for sustainable design – a core competency for advancing both circular and bioeconomy principles.
