We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Intern to support field data collection activities for the preparation of Model Solar Village Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) under the
Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited (KREDL) initiative. The role offers an opportunity to work closely with technical teams on ground surveys, stakeholder interactions, and structured data collection, contributing to renewable energy planning at the community level. The ideal candidate should be willing to travel locally, engage with diverse stakeholders, and support timely project execution through accurate documentation and field coordination.
Interns from Mysore, Mandya, and Kodagu will be preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct ground surveys in assigned villages and project locations.
- Collect field data on electricity consumption, rooftop suitability, and existing energy infrastructure.
- Engage with households, local businesses, and other stakeholders to gather relevant information.
- Record and maintain survey data in structured MS Excel formats.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of collected data.
- Provide field inputs to support the preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs).
- Assist with data cleaning, validation, and documentation.
- Support project reporting and documentation requirements.
- Coordinate with KREDL, government officials, and other stakeholders as required during project implementation.
Qualifications
Diploma/Polytechnic students and final-year BE/BTech students in Electrical, Electronics, or related engineering disciplines
Skill Set
- Knowledge of electrical engineering concepts and solar energy systems
- Basic proficiency in MS Excel (data entry, formatting, and basic formulas)
- Basic knowledge of MS Word
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel for field surveys
- Attention to detail and data accuracy
- Ability to collaborate and meet timelines
