Sumanth Shankar Rao holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering as well as a MBA degree in Production Management from the University of Bangalore. He is a Fellow of Institute of Engineers of India. He played major roles in power sector. He has over 39 years of professional experience and has worked with KPTCL, MESCOM and KAVIKA. He was the Director Transmission, KPTCL (head of engineering). He worked as the Managing Director of MESCOM and KAVIKA. At CSTEP, he works in the Transmission and Distribution sector.
