As the Head of Communication and Policy Engagement, she spearheads attempts to enhance the visibility, credibility, and impact of the organisation’s work. Committed to promoting clarity and inclusivity in science communication, she works closely with the research teams to build awareness, drive engagement, and strengthen the organisation’s role as a trusted voice in the policy ecosystem. This involves translating CSTEP’s evidence-based research into accessible narratives that inform public discourse and guide policy action. 

She is a gold medallist from the Institute of Journalism, Trivandrum Press Club, and has a Master’s in English Language and Literature from the Institute of English, University of Kerala. A seasoned journalist with over 18 years of experience, Sreerekha has handled editions, managed editorial and studio, and written and edited for different publications including The Indian Express, btw (lifestyle magazine), Watch World (horological magazine), and Harmony (lifestyle and empowerment magazine for senior citizens). She has also freelanced for publications such as The Hindu, The Week and the Sunday Times of India.
