As a Knowledge Partner for the Bengaluru Climate Data Week 2026 being held from 12 to 16 October 2026, the Center for Study of Science, Technology and Policy (CSTEP) is organising a session to bring together various stakeholders working at the intersection of data, technology, and policy to explore how climate action can move beyond fragmented, sectoral approaches towards shared, systems-level understanding.
The session will showcase two strands of work:
1. Building system intelligence for urban heat resilience, through the launch of the BHRIGU–National Heat Insights Explorer, and
2. Navigating pathways for a carbon-neutral and sustainable Karnataka, through a demonstration of CSTEP’s Namma SAFARI and DISHA platforms.
The event will examine how spatially grounded data, decision-support tools, and cross-sectoral collaboration can connect climate risks, development pathways, resources, and governance across scales, enabling well-informed, coordinated, and locally relevant action.
