From Evidence to Planning: Interpreting Urban Data for Ecosystem-based Adaptation

The Adaptation and Risk Analysis team at CSTEP, under its project Developing An Ecosystem-based Adaptation Feasibility Tool (DEFT) supported by the IUCN, is hosting a participatory workshop titled From Evidence to Planning: Interpreting Urban Data for Ecosystem-based Adaptation on 22 July in Bengaluru.

The workshop is meant to bring together practitioners to explore how evidence from datasets collected by the CSTEP team on climate risk, biodiversity, ecosystem condition, urban vulnerability, and land suitability can be translated into action and adaptation planning in Bengaluru. Specifically, the workshop aims to integrate practical knowledge into the development of the EbA decision-support framework to address Bengaluru’s risks of heat stress and flooding.
