Neeraj Hanumante is a Research Scientist in the Climate Change Mitigation team at CSTEP.

He completed his Joint PhD Degree in Sustainability and Circular Economy from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB) and Monash University, Australia; his MTech in Energy Systems Engineering from IITB; and his BE in Mechanical Engineering from Nagpur University.

Prior to joining CSTEP, he worked as a Postdoctoral Appointee at Argonne National Laboratory; a Postdoctoral Fellow at The University of Texas at Austin; a Sustainability Consultant at Life Link Eco-Technologies Private Limited; a Postdoctoral Fellow at IITB; and a Scientific Officer – D at Atomic Energy Regulatory Board, Mumbai.

His areas of interest include energy transition, nuclear energy, techno-economic analysis, and lifecycle analysis.
