Intern (Web Application Development)

The intern should be able to translate UI/UX design wireframes to actual code, and optimise for maximum efficiency that will produce visual elements of the application. She/he would be required to work in teams alongside other developers and develop APIs (and connect to database), and would also be involved in defining how an application looks and works.

Responsibilities

• Determine the structure and design web pages; develop, test, and maintain software applications using Angular.js.
• Develop APIs using Spring Hibernate, Node.js and Python (Django).
• Build reusable codes and libraries for future use.
• Optimise application for maximum speed and scalability.
•  Ensure web design is optimised for smartphones.
• Fix bugs and improve application performance.
• Provide support to team-mates on various projects, as needed.

 

Skill Set

• Knowledge of web mark-up, including HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, and API integration.
• Good understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks like Angular.
• Basic understanding of version control in GitHub.
• Ability to apply best practices in design principles for UX (usability, reliability, and performance are essential).
• Ability to develop APIs using Spring Hibernate, Node.js, and Python (Django).
