Join our team as an intern for a unique opportunity to contribute to the integration of renewable energy sources into transmission networks as well as to be a part of initiatives for integrating of electric vehicles (EVs) and solar-rooftop technologies into distribution networks.

 

Key learning areas

 

  • Gain a deep understanding of power system operation and planning principles.
  • Explore methodologies for planning and optimising generation and transmission networks to accommodate higher levels of renewable energy.
  • Dive into the distribution network operation and planning, focussing on integrating EV-charging infrastructure and solar-rooftop technologies to support the evolving energy landscape.
  • Become familiar with industry-standard power simulation software and hone your skills in modelling and analysing power system configurations.
  • Engage directly with utilities and industry professionals to gain first-hand insights into real-world power system operations.
  • Develop foundational knowledge of economic principles underlying power system planning decisions.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Pursuing BE or ME/MS/MTech in electrical engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, or energy and power systems

 

Skill Set

 

  • Understanding of the economic principles related to power system planning and operation.
  • Familiarity with the Indian power sector landscape.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities for effective interaction with diverse teams and external stakeholders.
  • Python programming skills would be a plus.
  • Basic understanding of simulation software such as PSS/E, ETAP, MiPower, CYME, MATLAB (PSAT) or similar tools would be an added advantage.
