Climate action demands integrated, long-term planning across sectors to ensure sustainability and resilience. While models like SAFARI exist at national levels, Karnataka lacks a state-specific approach. CSTEP's Namma SAFARI model bridges this gap by modelling Karnataka’s key sectors dynamically up to 2050 and considering the state’s distinctive energy and climate landscape.
At 'Namma SAFARI: A Dialogue on Charting Low-Carbon Pathways for Karnataka' event, we will discuss the Namma SAFARI model and present decarbonisation pathways for key sectors, including agriculture, power, industry, transport, buildings, forestry, and land use. Built on CSTEP’s national SAFARI model, Namma SAFARI estimates energy, emissions, and resource needs for achieving developmental goals while exploring the impact of decarbonisation strategies unique to Karnataka’s context.
Join us for an engaging event and be part of the conversation shaping a sustainable future for the state.
