The Center for Study of Science, Technology and Policy (CSTEP) conducted its flagship event on air pollution India Clean Air Summit (ICAS) 2024. The event was organised by the Air Quality sector at CSTEP to provide a platform for driving collaborative action on air quality in India. The sixth edition of ICAS was based on the central theme The Participatory Future of Air Quality Management and was held from 26 to 30 August 2024 at Sheraton Grand Bangalore Hotel at Brigade Gateway, Bengaluru.
This year, we partnered with the Clean Air Monitoring and Solutions Network (CAMS-Net) for the sessions organised from 26 to 28 August under the theme South–South–North Collaborations Towards Clean Air for All.
The event began with various training sessions on air quality calculators and data analysis. In the following days, scientists, researchers, policymakers, and air sensor manufacturers shared their experiences and discussed various issues surrounding air pollution management.
Various sessions at the event have been covered by major publications, including The Print, The Week, PTI News, The Times of India, Business Insider India, Business Standard, Deccan Herald, Amar Ujala, The Pioneer, Biomass Trade Centre, Devdiscourse, Latestly, and NewsDrum.
