The Communication and Policy Engagement team at CSTEP is looking for an intern to work on building a story-telling platform that disseminates climate information.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on climate change at the district level and collate information about the districts, including details on demography, economy, migration, agriculture, employment, industry, and other interesting facts like impacts of climate change, artists and civic society organisations working in the district, and important policy and development milestones.

 

  • Collate this information in relevant formats (data and narrative) to build the platform. The intern will be expected to work with the content and outreach team, as well as with the design and AI teams, to convert the information into stories and data on the platform.

 

Qualifications

 

Master’s degree, preferably in Communications or Social Sciences.

 

Experience

 

2–12 months of experience working on similar assignments is desirable, but freshers can also apply.

 

Skill Set

  • Keen interest in and knowledge of climate change policies and impact.
  • Good with identify and collect relevant information through online research.
  • Articulate, with creative writing skills for culling out stories from gathered information.
  • Should be self-motivated and a team player.
  • A background in data visualisation and storytelling would be an advantage.

 

Compensation

 

INR 15,000 per month
