The buildings sector in India is a key contributor to energy demand and greenhouse gas emissions. As most of the buildings that will exist in India in the next 30 years are yet to be constructed, overcoming the challenges posed by the sector will be a deciding factor in India's transition to net zero. Therefore, it is important to explore the different decarbonisation pathways available to achieve India's energy goals.
CSTEP's latest report titled Pathways to Steer India’s Buildings Sector Towards a Net-Zero Future examines the complexities and opportunities inherent in achieving this transformative objective. Key insights from the report were presented during the launch event held in New Delhi on 18 March 2024. The launch was followed by a panel discussion by experts on ‘Decarbonising India's Buildings Sector: Unifying Infrastructure, Code, Policy, and Partnerships’.
Location: Multipurpose Hall, Kamala Devi Complex, Gate No. 1, India International Centre, New Delhi
Time: 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
