The candidate should be able to conduct research, contribute to policy enrichment, and write proposals on circular economy. The role requires a good knowledge of the circular economy field. The incumbent should be willing to work under guidance and deliver in a reasonable amount of time.
Responsibilities
- Conceptualisation and ideation of new ideas and projects on circular economy.
- Concretisation of ideas into functional projects.
- Policy engagement, outreach activities, and networking with relevant stakeholders like funders, collaborators, etc.
- Preparation of concept notes, proposals, etc. ready for discussions, submissions, etc.
- Assistance in the ongoing projects or related work on circular economy.
Qualifications
The applicant must be a postgraduate in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Sustainable Development, or Environmental Economics, with some level of professional experience in the field.
OR
She/he may have academic qualifications other than the above but with subject-matter knowledge on circular economy.
Experience
- At least 10-12 years of experience in the industry or/and government or/and research institutions in waste management, recycling analytics, life-cycle analytics, energy efficiency tools.
- Any direct working knowledge on circular economy will be beneficial.
Skill Set
- Should be well-versed with various analyses like techno-economic analysis, techno-policy analysis, life cycle analysis, cost-benefit analysis, etc.
- Should have a strong passion and acumen towards research and policy enrichment.
- Should be able to work on cross-sectoral / interdisciplinary assignments.
- Should be able to work independently, with minimal supervision.
- Should be able to multi-task, maintain flexibility, and be willing to work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Should have the potential or skill to transform or convert an idea or discussions/meetings, etc. into doable actions or projects.
- Should be able to produce concept notes and proposals within a given timeframe.
- Must be well-versed with MS Office and should have good networking abilities.
Location
Bengaluru (with the option to work remotely, as the job does not require in-person presence at the location)
