Dr Anushiya J is a research scientist and leads the Adaptation & Risk Analysis team under the Climate, Environment and Sustainability sector at CSTEP.
She has a Doctorate in Climate Change and Natural Resource Management from Centre for Climate Change and Disaster Management, Anna University. She completed her Bachelor's in Chemistry from Madurai Kamaraj University, her Master's in Environmental Science from PSG College of Arts & Science, and her MPhil in Energy, Environment and Natural Resources from Madurai Kamaraj University.
Prior to joining CSTEP, she worked as Research Associate at Centre for Climate Change and Disaster Management, Anna University, and as Expert Consultant at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
Her areas of interest include climate extremities and microclimate, climate risks and resilience, climate knowledge management, SDGs and micro-level policy through climate lens.
