NITI Aayog organised a workshop titled “Transforming Urban India: Developing Smart and Sustainable Cities” in New Delhi on September 2015. CSTEP was the knowledge partner for this event.
A new study by CSTEP emphasises quality of life for all in India’s national climate policy and demonstrates that India could improve sustainable development metrics while at the same time reducing its greenhouse gas emissions.
CSTEP has been chosen as the only non-government organisation in an Expert Committee to evolve a strategy for self-reliance in critical strategic resource of Rare Earths, constituted by NITI Aayog.
The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) requested CSTEP to organise a Stakeholder Consultation Workshop on July 21-22, 2015 to discuss the interim results of MNRE's Reassessment of India's Wind Potential Estimation study and how to increase the penetration of wind energy to meet the government's 60 GW target.
