Workshop on Indo-US Climate Futures

October 26, 2009 to October 27, 2009

As a precursor to The UN Climate Change Conference Copenhagen 2009, CSTEP in association with Carnegie Mellon University and supported by the Indo-US Science & Technology Forum organised a Workshop on Indo-US Climate Futures at the GRT Temple Bay Resort, near Chennai, India.  The Workshop focussed on strategies for technology and policy options for low carbon energy, spanning nuclear power, renewable sources, energy efficiency, and geo-engineering options. The Workshop included participation by a number of leading scholars and policy makers from the US and India.

Workshop on Role of Modeling, Simulation and Gaming in Policy Analysis

CSTEP and the Next Generation Infrastructures Foundation, Delft Technical University (TU-Delft), The Netherlands, jointly hosted a workshop on the Role of Modeling, Simulation and Gaming in Policy Analysis. The two entities also signed a Memorandum of Understanding to formalise research collaborations and other joint activities.

A Round Table on Environment, Sustainability and Climate Change: Karnataka Agenda, was organised by the Center for Study of Science, Technology and Policy (CSTEP) and HSBC along with the Environment and Good Governance Trust, the London School of Economics (LSE), and Institute for Social and Economic Change (ISEC) at the Atria Hotel, Bangalore.
